About the role

Deel is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer with a focus on AI to build backend services integrating AI capabilities into payroll workflows, working with ML engineers and operations to develop AI-powered tools.

Responsibilities

  • Build backend services that bring AI capabilities to life inside our Payroll workflows
  • Collaborate with ML engineers and operations to create real-world AI-powered tools

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in backend/full-stack engineering
  • JavaScript, Node.js and PostgreSQL experience
  • Strong API integration skills
  • Hands-on experience integrating AI APIs into production systems
  • Comfort working with unstructured/messy data and ETL pipelines
