About the role

Deel, a global payroll and HR platform, is hiring a Sales Development Representative in Japan to generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, qualify leads, and collaborate with sales and marketing teams.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, including email, phone, and social media outreach
  • Identify and qualify prospective clients by understanding their needs and challenges
  • Schedule product demonstrations for qualified prospects with Account Executives
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to improve lead generation strategies
  • Consistently achieve monthly and quarterly targets for qualified meetings and pipeline generation across segments - SMB, MM & ENT
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in CRM system
  • Participate in regular sales training and professional development opportunities

Qualifications

  • Preferably based in Tokyo, Japan
  • Native Japanese ability
  • 1 year of experience in a sales development or similar outbound commercial role
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and remote team environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and eager to learn
  • Ability to work autonomously and self source solutions
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding targets in a quota-carrying role
  • Experience with CRM systems and sales engagement tools is a plus
  • Work experience in HR or Fintech companies, or at a fast-growing startup, or in remote & distributed teams, preferred
