About the role

Deel is a global payroll and HR platform supporting workers in 150+ countries, with a mission to unlock global opportunity. The company is hiring a Full Stack Engineer to develop and maintain web applications, APIs, and data models, working remotely across the EMEA and other regions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop high-quality, responsive web applications using TypeScript, Javascript, React, Express.
  • Design and implement server-side APIs, data models, and business logic mainly with Express.
  • Create client-side React components, hooks, stories, and tests.
  • Create and optimize database schemas, queries, and interactions with Postgres.
  • Build reusable and modular components for both front-end and back-end.
  • Perform testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Participate in code reviews and team discussions to maintain standards.
  • Communicate progress, challenges, and solutions effectively across teams.
  • Contribute to improving development processes, methodologies, and tools.

Qualifications

  • At least 4 years of Full-Stack experience, focusing on TypeScript.
  • Expertise in designing, coding, testing, and maintaining applications using listed technologies.
  • Strong collaboration skills in a remote-first environment.
  • Ability to take ownership of projects and contribute to team efforts.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex technical ideas.
  • Passion for solving customer problems with coding and troubleshooting skills.
  • Business-focused approach to software development, delivering high-value outcomes.
  • Attention to detail and a customer-centric mindset.
