About the role

Deel is seeking a highly skilled Offensive Security Specialist with deep experience in penetration testing, red and purple team engagements, and security strategy influencing, to test and improve the security of their products and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive penetration testing on products and services to uncover security flaws.
  • Design and execute adversary emulation engagements aligned with the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
  • Continuously hunt for vulnerabilities across web, mobile, infrastructure, and cloud environments.
  • Perform specialized penetration testing on AI-based systems and platforms.
  • Conduct cyber threat intelligence research to inform offensive operations.
  • Design and execute phishing campaigns and social engineering exercises.
  • Develop custom exploits, tools, and automation for red team operations.
  • Conduct purple team operations to test detection and response capabilities.
  • Partner with defensive security teams to translate findings into security improvements.
  • Influence security strategy based on attacker perspectives and threat modeling.
  • Contribute to evolving red team methodologies and mentoring.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Red Teaming, Offensive Security, or Penetration Testing.
  • Deep expertise in offensive security operations within modern tech environments.
  • Experience with web, mobile, network, cloud, and AI systems security.
  • Mastery in evaluating complex technology stacks including containerized and Kubernetes environments.
  • Strong coding/scripting skills for developing tools and automation.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate complex findings.
  • Proven track record of vulnerability discovery and remediation.
