About the role

Design and deliver production-grade AI agents for healthcare, owning the Agent Development Life Cycle and partnering with healthcare leaders to build scalable, HIPAA-compliant solutions that improve patient and member experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver production-grade AI agents for healthcare: highly performant, reliable, and empathetic agents that handle sensitive patient and member interactions while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
  • Drive the Agent Development Life Cycle (ADLC): ownership from pilot through deployment and continuous iteration in production environments.
  • Partner with healthcare leaders: work with executives and technical teams at health plans, provider networks, and healthcare tech companies to address challenges and scale AI agents.
  • Navigate healthcare complexity: develop expertise in healthcare systems/workflows, integrations across EHR/patient access platforms, payer/provider operations, and data interoperability standards.
  • Build the future of the platform: influence Sierra's core platform through customer feedback, prototyping, and collaboration with research, product, and platform teams.

Qualifications

  • Experience building and scaling end-to-end production systems.
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills in fast-changing, ambiguous environments.
  • Builder mindset with high agency and ability to ship.
  • Comfort working directly with customers to understand needs and solve real-world problems.
  • Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Genuine interest in healthcare and improving patient/member experiences.
