About the role

Deel is a global payroll and HR platform supporting diverse workers in 150+ countries, seeking an Associate Legal Counsel to provide legal support on employment, commercial, and corporate matters.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the drafting and review of employment, commercial, and corporate agreements with minimum guidance.
  • Assists in providing accurate, relevant, and timely legal advice on employment law, contract negotiations, and corporate matters.
  • Identifies and suggests improvements to contract management processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Works on assigned projects with clear deadlines, ensuring timely and high-quality completion whilst meeting all SLA’s.
  • Begins to operate with increased autonomy while escalating more complex issues as necessary.
  • Performs any additional tasks or assignments as required by management from time to time.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years’ experience, preferably with a strong background in cross border employment law.
  • Specialist knowledge of employment law.
  • Proactive, autonomous, resilient, adaptable, eager to continually learn and develop professionally.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
