About the role

Deel is hiring an Associate Legal Counsel in Italy to handle employment and commercial legal matters, advise on legal topics, review and negotiate agreements, and support internal compliance and product development.

Responsibilities

  • Drafting and reviewing employment and commercial matters.
  • Assisting in providing accurate, relevant, and timely advice on legal (employment) topics.
  • Assisting with the review and negotiation of client and commercial agreements, and supporting internal employment compliance efforts.
  • Handling and assisting with a variety of other legal (employment) issues and projects as they arise.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience as an Italian attorney or in-house Legal Counsel advising corporate clients in Italy.
  • Strong expertise in Italian employment law. Italian labour law master is a plus.
  • Experience advising on cross-border employment.
  • Excellent legal drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to translate complex legal concepts into practical business advice.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to work collaboratively.
  • Prior experience in a global or multi-jurisdictional organization is a plus.
  • High ethical standards and sound judgment.
  • Interest in working for a tech company and reviewing product-led developments.
