About the role

Alan’s Insurance Risk & Strategy role focused on automated and scalable risk assessment tools, regulatory reporting, capital management, and team growth within the insurance domain.

Responsibilities

  • Risk modeling: strengthen and automateSolvency II balance sheet and capital requirements projections for health, death and disability; model new risks; challenge risk appetite; build monitoring tools; support board meetings and investor communications with capital evolution and market risks
  • Regulatory: scale and automate regulatory quantitative reporting; contribute to SFCR, RSR and ORSA; support discussions with supervisors; assess international opportunities and aid opening of new countries
  • Capital management: propose improvements to capital management across four countries; manage reinsurance strategy, negotiate with reinsurance partners, analyze reinsurance reporting
  • Team Growth: create processes and resources to strengthen risk and capital understanding; support hiring for Insurance and Risk teams

Qualifications

  • Have at least 5 years of experience in Solvency II regulatory framework, especially S2 accounting, with knowledge of Health, Life and Market risks as a bonus
  • Fluent in English and French for regulatory interactions
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, including data analysis capabilities
  • Ability to automate processes and build new tools; programming skills a plus
  • Rigor and reliability in reporting production; able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills for internal and external stakeholders
  • Willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and methodologies with creative problem-solving approaches
  • C1-E level proficiency requirement
