About the role

Join Architect as a founding team member focused on building algorithms and infrastructure to support ML research for chip design, enabling AI breakthroughs in hardware development.

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and improve algorithms and engineering systems used to post-train models for chip designs.
  • Profile reinforcement learning and training pipelines to detect bottlenecks and implement optimizations.
  • Collaborate closely with ML researchers to implement stable and fast versions of new finetuning recipes on different model architectures.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Computer Science, EECS, Mathematics, or a closely related field; or BS/MS with strong research engineering background.
  • Proven track record of building end-to-end ML pipelines, including data curation, preparation, and large-scale LLM finetuning.
  • Adept at diagnosing training slowdowns, building system monitoring instrumentation, and fixing issues in distributed environments.
  • Results-oriented, flexible, and impact-driven with team collaboration skills.
