About the role

Software Engineer role focused on low-level Windows development for SentinelOne’s Endpoint Protection platform, across user-mode and kernel-mode, driving security features, performance optimization, and collaboration across distributed teams to protect millions of devices worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop advanced security features for Windows endpoint protection, operating across user-mode and kernel-mode environments.
  • Build and optimize mission-critical components including anti-tampering protections, network sensors, and agent infrastructure.
  • Research Windows internals and debug deep system issues.
  • Collaborate with distributed engineering teams to deliver high-impact security capabilities.
  • Work on Windows agent components such as installers, logging, services, and communication interfaces to improve quality, performance, and stability.
  • Rewrite and reimplement existing features from scratch and tackle performance & optimization challenges at massive scale.
  • Influence security for tens of millions of Windows devices across enterprise and government customers.

Qualifications

  • Multiple years of experience as a software engineer in low-level programming using modern C++ (or C with willingness to learn modern C++).
  • Hands-on experience and in-depth understanding of Windows OS design & internals, Windows low-level development, debugging Windows applications with standard tools.
  • Experience on production-grade products with wide-scale deployment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across time zones; problem-solving and out-of-the-box thinking.
  • Attention to detail and high coding standards.
  • Advantage: experience with Windows Kernel and Windows Drivers, security-oriented development, reversing or malware analysis.
