About the role

Windows Low Level Engineer for SentinelOne's Endpoint Protection platform, focusing on both user-mode and kernel-mode development, anti-tampering protections, network sensors, and agent infrastructure within the Platform group. Flexible, 100% remote role based in Italy, with EU eligibility required; relocation assistance to Czech Republic available for eligible candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop advanced security features for Windows endpoint protection across user-mode and kernel-mode environments.
  • Build and optimize mission-critical components including anti-tampering protections, network sensors, and agent infrastructure.
  • Research Windows internals and debug deep system issues in collaboration with distributed teams.
  • Contribute to feature development lifecycle, rewrite/modernize existing components, and address performance and stability at scale.
  • Work on Windows agent components such as installers, logging, services, and communication interfaces to improve quality and user experience.
  • Share knowledge within Platform teams and the broader Windows group.
  • Operate in a flexible schedule with remote work setup.

Qualifications

  • Multiple years of experience as a software engineer in low-level programming using modern C++ (or C with willingness to learn modern C++).
  • Hands-on understanding of Windows OS design and internals, Windows low-level development, and debugging tools.
  • Experience with production-grade, large-scale deployments.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across time zones.
  • Attention to detail and high coding standards.
  • Desirable: Windows Kernel and Windows Drivers development, security-oriented development, reversing or malware analysis.
