About the role

Senior Software Engineer responsible for leading architectural design and technical strategy for high-performance data processing pipelines and ML-driven data routing/transformation for the Observo.ai platform, with mentoring responsibilities and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the architectural design and technical roadmap for scalable, high-performance data processing pipelines handling petabyte-scale telemetry data (logs, metrics, traces).
  • Drive development and optimization of ML-driven data routing and transformation engines to reduce customer data volumes by 80%+, and design real-time analytics systems using ML and LLMs.
  • Design cloud-native microservices and APIs integrated with observability platforms (Splunk, Elastic, Datadog) with robust monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions.
  • Lead cross-functional technical initiatives and decision-making forums with Product, Data Science, and DevOps to translate vision into technical solutions and standards.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers, improving system performance, reliability, and engineering culture.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in software engineering focused on distributed systems, data engineering, or ML infrastructure.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Go, Rust, or Java.
  • Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure; Kubernetes; data pipelines using Kafka, Spark, or Flink.
  • Deep expertise in SQL and NoSQL databases; experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch; MLOps for production ML systems.
  • Observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry, Parquet) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
  • Strong leadership, technical communication, mentoring, and cross-team collaboration skills.
