About the role

Operations Expert at Alan is a role focused on running and continuously improving insurance and health services operations at scale across multiple countries, delivering efficient processes, monitoring performance, managing partnerships, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Run our Insurance or Health services processes (Ops Runners)
  • Day-to-day follow up and monitoring of operations
  • Flag risks and opportunities
  • Operating our processes: invoicing or claims treatment, growing and managing our network of providers, supporting internal teams (live and through documentation)
  • Contributing to the definition and owning the best monitoring scheme to track volumes/efficiency/SLAs, and identify risks and areas of improvement
  • Supervising partnerships (e.g. teleconsultation, claim operators), participating in negotiation rounds, daily communication to ensure business continuity
  • Performing controls on daily operations to ensure correct decisions and identify training needs
  • Escalating feedback, helping to prioritize and supporting initiatives to improve processes and services
  • Implementing continuous improvements to processes (approximately 20-30% of the time) such as automation, auditing, external communication enhancements

Qualifications

  • Experience in operating processes and services for growing/scale-up companies or industrial/logistic environments (preferred)
  • Support functions experience (e.g., Customer Support, People Operations)
  • Customer-facing commercial experience (e.g., account management, Customer Success, communications)
  • Event coordination experience (preferred)
