About the role

Senior to staff-level fullstack engineer to build AI-powered features in Hex, partnering with Research and product engineering to integrate AI capabilities into the platform. Own scalable agent infrastructure and experimentation tooling to rapidly deliver new AI features.

Responsibilities

  • Lead building AI-powered features into Hex, partnering with the Research team on context and model prompting, and with product engineering to integrate into the platform.
  • Own the scalable agent infrastructure powering data agents.
  • Develop and maintain cutting-edge experimentation tooling to enable rapid delivery of new AI features in the product.
  • Collaborate with engineers to ensure high-quality, performant user experiences and robust web infrastructure.
  • Mentor and lead fellow engineers, drive product initiatives, and align with business and product goals.

Qualifications

  • At least 4+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Proficiency with React and Typescript, architecture and systems design knowledge.
  • Experience leading and executing major product initiatives.
  • Hands-on with browser internals to develop high-quality user experiences.
  • Aptitude for web infrastructure to develop internal and external user experiences.
  • Strategic thinking aligned with business/product goals while balancing velocity and engineering excellence.
  • Interest in data space and shipping robust data tools for end users.
  • High-quality design, correctness, and testing standards.
  • Leadership and mentoring abilities for engineers and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Curiosity about broader company-building aspects (go-to-market, customer development, people, marketing).
