About the role

Staff-level software engineer responsible for designing and evolving cloud-native systems powering AI SIEM detection, hunting, and response capabilities, with large-scale real-time and stateful detection engines, ML pipelines, and agentic SOC/threat-hunting features.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full lifecycle of large-scale production services - design, develop (Go and/or Java), test, deploy, and operate them with high observability, performance, and reliability
  • Refactor and maintain codebase, adopt new technologies to address scale and complexity
  • Lead design and implementation of highly available, low-latency, cloud-native services processing high volumes of events
  • Leverage AI across the development process and raise quality of product design and shipping
  • Drive cross-team initiatives to completion and align engineering, product, and design on technical direction
  • Translate complex requirements into robust, scalable end-to-end designs and define coding patterns and standards
  • Mentor engineers, elevate engineering bar, foster technical excellence and accountability

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience with deep production-level mastery of Go and/or Java (Python a plus)
  • Track record as a subject-matter expert who elevates team designs
  • Deep experience with AWS and/or GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, Postgres, Redis, Kafka
  • Hands-on experience leveraging AI in development (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot)
  • Ability to turn vague requirements into efficient end-to-end designs and drive multi-team initiatives
  • Strategic communication to explain technical trade-offs to diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to collaborate across time zones with local and remote teams
  • Customer focus and experience developing security-related products (strong advantage)
