About the role

Enterprise-level pre-sales engineer specializing in retail. Owns end-to-end technical pre-sales, designs and demos Sierra’s platform, collaborates with GTM, Product, and Agent Engineering, and leads technical reviews to drive enterprise sales in the retail sector.

Responsibilities

  • GTM technical expert: scope customer use cases, articulate business value, design and demo Sierra’s platform, lead technical and architecture reviews, and serve as the trusted technical expert throughout the sales cycle.
  • Cross-functional work: collaborate with Sales, Product, and Agent Engineering to drive GTM and improve Agents through customer-driven product development.
  • Lead & support customers: act as GTM and technical leader in early conversations to understand and anticipate customer needs and advance the AI solution.

Qualifications

  • 5-7+ years experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering or customer-facing technical sales.
  • Experience in demo building, presenting, and working with customers in the GTM function.
  • Experience in relationship-building with potential customers, including executives and technical leaders.
  • Experience in leading the sales process with Enterprise customers.
  • Ability to connect a prospect’s business problems with Sierra’s solutions and communicate to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to leverage AI tools in discovery, solution design, demo and prototype building, and technical proposals, while ensuring accuracy of delivered content.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or above; bonus if in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
