About the role

Staff Software Engineer on the Close team focused on architecting FloQast Close, AI Agent infrastructure, and visual workflow builders; drives distributed systems improvements and mentors engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Architecting the core platform capabilities powering FloQast Transform and the next generation of AI-driven workflows; owning the big picture for distributed systems, AI Agent infrastructure, and visual workflow builders.
  • Leading high-level design discussions to establish engineering standards across the automation ecosystem.
  • Cross-functional partnership with Product and Design to translate business goals into technical roadmaps for accounting automation.
  • Mentoring senior engineers and fostering a culture of technical curiosity and high-performance execution.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience shipping complex, enterprise-grade software
  • Expert in backend stacks (Go, Node.js, MongoDB, AWS)
  • Experience designing scalable and secure SaaS architectures
  • Strong product intuition and outcomes-driven mindset
  • Ability to translate ideas into production-ready systems and influence across teams
