About the role

Lead Architect for SentinelOne's AI Platform, responsible for defining the technical vision and multi-year roadmap of the AI Platform, driving architecture decisions, and delivering reusable platform capabilities to support AI features across the company.

Responsibilities

  • Define the technical vision and multi-year roadmap for SentinelOne's AI Platform (model gateway/routing, agent/MCP infrastructure, evaluation pipelines, AI observability, and more) in partnership with engineering leadership.
  • Serve as the tech lead by owning architecture decisions, setting engineering standards, reviewing critical designs, and guiding implementation across the team without people management responsibilities.
  • Support business-critical AI initiatives, translating business strategy into platform capabilities and clear engineering priorities.
  • Partner with product teams to build customer-facing AI experiences hands-on, then platformize what was built into shared, reusable capabilities.
  • Drive technology selection and build-vs-buy decisions for the platform's core stack, weighing security, cost, scalability, and time-to-value.
  • Mentor senior engineers and act as a recognized expert on AI infrastructure within and beyond the company.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems, including architecture of platform or infrastructure products used by multiple teams.
  • Hands-on production experience with LLM-based systems (model integration and routing, retrieval or agent architectures, evaluation harnesses, cost/latency/quality optimization).
  • Strong hands-on coding skills in Python or Go; deep experience with Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong product acumen with experience building customer-facing products and translating customer needs into technical decisions; ability to engage business stakeholders.
  • Proven track record as a tech lead of cross-team initiatives with ambiguous requirements, turning vague goals into a sequenced technical roadmap.
