About the role
Product Manager responsible for building enterprise-grade AI agents for government institutions, shaping the public sector roadmap, and driving cross-functional delivery from discovery to production for Sierra’s public sector initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Build enterprise-grade AI agents for government institutions: partner with engineers and public sector customers to ship AI agents that serve constituents while meeting security, accessibility, and reliability standards.
- Discover where agents can make the greatest impact: conduct ground-up discovery with federal and state institutions to identify opportunities and prioritize improvements.
- Engage with customers at every level: act as trusted advisor to public sector leaders, assess requirements, demonstrate solutions, and iteratively improve agents to fit policies and workflows.
- Own outcomes from concept through production: translate mission goals into product strategy, roadmap, and measurable success, coordinating across stakeholders and teams.
- Shape the platform and public sector roadmap: surface unmet needs, prototype tools, and collaborate with research, product, and platform teams.
- Help build Sierra’s public sector business: collaborate on market strategy, investments, and scalable approaches while upholding trust and craftsmanship.
Qualifications
- 5-7+ years of experience developing highly technical products.
- Experience in Product Management or similar role at or above Senior Product Manager level.
- Passion for public sector work and belief in transforming outcomes for the people served.
- Comfort working directly with customers and public servants to understand workflows and requirements.
- Experience crafting messages for executives and public sector leaders.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences, including AI developments.
- Strong product judgment and track record of cross-functional, ambiguous initiative delivery from discovery to launch.
- Degree in a technical or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
