About the role

Founding engineer to build AI-driven insurance platform agents and the supporting infrastructure, with ownership from architecture to production, serving brokers and carrier workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Turn operational work into software. Build systems around submissions to determine quotes and placements.
  • Productionize and scale the platform. Own architecture, data models, background jobs, integrations, monitoring, and failure recovery.
  • Put agents to work in production. Extend agents to handle emails, interpret submissions, gather missing information, and coordinate carrier workflows. Build evals and feedback loops based on real outcomes, and ensure reliability of the full workflow.
  • Make messy carrier data usable. Convert PDFs, emails, and API responses into consistent records of coverage, pricing, and outstanding requirements.
  • Connect engineering to business results. Understand how decisions affect turnaround, conversion, servicing effort, and carrier relationships.

Qualifications

  • Ownership from zero to one. Ability to take unclear problems to working software and explain decisions after launch.
  • Technical depth in data integrity, asynchronous workflows, reliability, and scaling.
  • Willingness to do hands-on operational work and persevere to solve problems.
  • Business judgment in ensuring software improves work efficiency and business economics.
  • Speed and initiative to identify useful work, build a first version, test with real users, and iterate quickly.
