About the role

Senior Test Automation Engineer focused on validating and ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of SentinelOne's SaaS products, leading validation efforts, defining test strategies, and developing automated test frameworks for both back-end and front-end. Role involves integrating AI-driven testing, cloud environments, and mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and execution of comprehensive validation plans and test strategies for Console and SaaS services.
  • Collaborate with product management, development, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into test cases.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks in Python (Pytest) and/or TypeScript (Playwright).
  • Integrate AI-powered tools and workflows into the validation lifecycle to automate test triaging and PR analysis.
  • Leverage Generative AI and LLMs to optimize test case generation and coverage.
  • Utilize Docker for containerization to create consistent testing environments.
  • Manage and execute tests in cloud environments, including AWS and GCP.
  • Enhance test strategies to improve coverage, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Perform functional, regression, and security testing.
  • Identify, document, and track defects; work with development teams for resolution.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to testing process improvements.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices in validation and QA.
  • Participate in code reviews and design discussions to ensure testability and quality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance or validation engineering, with SaaS focus
  • Proven experience leading validation efforts and defining test strategies
  • Experience developing automated test frameworks in Python and/or TypeScript; Playwright (or similar such as Java)
  • Hands-on experience integrating AI tools, LLMs, or AI-driven testing into QA workflows and CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with prompt engineering and using AI assistants to streamline testing
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and agile methodologies
  • Experience with AWS or GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, and event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and in globally distributed teams
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
