About the role

Software Engineer role focused on converging Alan and Tanel products and technologies in West Africa, building reusable components, and improving data flow and automation to support local market needs.

Responsibilities

  • Bringing together the product experiences and technology foundations of both companies.
  • Building reusable components and systems that can meet the specific needs of local markets.
  • Evolving our tools to support the growth of our product and operations.
  • Simplifying and automating processes that are currently managed manually.
  • Improving the flow and reliability of data between teams and systems.
  • Finding the right balance between global standardisation and adapting to the realities of Senegal and Côte d’Ivoire.
  • Laying the technical foundations for our medium-term expansion into new West African markets.

Qualifications

  • At least four years of experience as a Software Engineer.
  • Fluent in French and English.
  • Legally authorized to work in Senegal and based in Dakar, or willing to relocate there.
  • Proficient in a programming language such as Python, Java, C# or an equivalent language.
  • Comfortable with modern web technologies and interested in working on full-stack applications.
  • Experience designing robust, maintainable and scalable systems.
  • Interest in product-related challenges and understanding user needs.
  • Autonomous, pragmatic and able to make decisions.
  • Enjoys teamwork and collaborating with non-technical stakeholders.
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities.
