About the role

Finance Generalist at Basis AI focused on end-to-end financial analysis, model ownership, and enabling AI-driven finance workflows in a high-growth AI company.

Responsibilities

  • Own the models the company runs on. Revenue, headcount, unit economics, cash.
  • Take analysis to action. Evaluate pricing changes or new investments and ensure implementation.
  • Chase down what doesn’t add up. Investigate metric movements to determine the true cause.
  • Rebuild finance around AI. Run experiments on where LLMs can take on finance work (reconciliation, variance commentary, board deck refresh).
  • Be the finance team for the whole company. Field questions from founders, engineers, and GTM leaders; deliver briefs to leadership.

Qualifications

  • 4–8 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, venture, consulting, or analytically rigorous environments.
  • Exceptional financial modeling and analytical skills; ability to connect detailed work to a clear point of view.
  • Builder’s mindset: create systems from scratch, automate repetitive work, improve team operations.
  • Track record of using AI and modern tools to increase leverage.
  • Strong business judgment; ability to balance rigor with speed.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present clear recommendations to leadership.
