About the role
Basis is hiring a founding brand designer to own and shape Basis’s visual identity across multiple touchpoints, from website to campaigns, with a focus on building a cohesive brand system for both customer and technical audiences in a high-growth AI/tech environment.
Responsibilities
- Own the brand across website, launches, campaigns, customer stories, visual assets, and recruiting from concept to final file.
- Set creative direction, challenge weak ideas, and define modern B2B design.
- Design the page, build the system, ship the campaign.
- Build the operating system for design: brand system, standards, reusable templates, and AI-enabled workflows.
- Partner closely with Head of Marketing, PMM, Content, Demand Gen, Customer Marketing, Product, Sales, and Recruiting; guide agencies, freelancers, and future designers; protect brand quality and coherence.
Qualifications
- 5-8 years in brand design, visual design, or creative direction, ideally at a high-growth software, AI, fintech, or technical product company
- Portfolio of complete brand systems that turn complex products and abstract ideas into distinctive concepts
- Exceptional taste in typography, composition, color, hierarchy, image direction, and visual storytelling
- Strong digital design skills and experience shipping responsive web experiences in collaboration with developers
- Experience building design systems, templates, standards, and workflows that flex across different buyers and motions
- Strong creative judgment and ability to defend decisions, take feedback, and improve work
- Technical curiosity and ability to learn a complex product, buyer, and market quickly
