About the role

Senior Offensive Security Researcher at SentinelOne focusing on researching evasion techniques, building detection tooling, and collaborating with Threat Intelligence and engineering teams to strengthen detection and visibility across Windows, Linux, and macOS in Endpoint, Cloud, and Identity domains.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively look for the newest and most sophisticated attack techniques, deeply research and understand their internals, and emulate these attacks to assess and improve our detection engines.
  • Build tools to support detection assessments, create proofs-of-concept for the newest techniques and contribute to the design of innovative detection strategies.
  • Work closely with the Threat-Intelligence team and engineering detection teams to provide guidance and highlight gaps in our detection and visibility capabilities.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in Red Teaming / Security Research / Offensive Research with a deep understanding of Windows internals
  • Hands-on experience with coding in Python and C/C++
  • Deep understanding of the malware world (how malware operates, infamous families, evasion and exploitation techniques)
  • Experience in malware analysis (statically and dynamically) and reverse engineering (x86/x64)
  • Understanding of existing EDRs internals
  • Experience writing detection signatures
  • Experience leveraging agentic AI workflows for malware analysis and detection engineering tasks (reverse engineering, code auditing, signature writing)
  • Proven track record of conference speaking at security conferences or publications is an advantage
