About the role

Senior Data Scientist on the Static AI team responsible for researching, developing, and deploying ML malware detection engines across Windows, Mac, Linux, and cloud environments to stop malware in sub-second decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver innovative ML-based detection engines that make sub-second decisions to stop malware before it runs.
  • Research new approaches to AI and ML, and work with peers to integrate the most promising advancements into our product.
  • Build analytics systems that learn from a wide variety of internal and external data sources to improve existing ML models and create new ones.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Computer Science or Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience collecting, building, and tailoring large datasets for training ML models, specifically with classical ML algorithms, with solid grounding in ML concepts and statistics.
  • Active use of AI tools as part of daily workflow.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions, collaboratively.
  • 3+ years of experience designing, training, and evaluating ML models in production systems.
  • Independence to own a project end-to-end from research to production.
  • Strong communication skills across diverse stakeholders.
  • Willingness to work in a diverse, globally distributed team.
  • Cyber domain experience, especially in detection systems, is preferred.
  • Cloud infrastructure and MLOps experience is preferred.
  • Experience with Spark, PySpark, or Databricks is preferred.
