About the role
Software Engineer role focused on designing and delivering production-grade AI agents for insurance and financial services, owning the Agent Development Life Cycle in production, and collaborating with enterprise customers to shape Sierra's AI agent platform.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver production-grade AI agents running in production environments across industries like finance, healthcare, and commerce.
- Drive the Agent Development Life Cycle (ADLC) from pilot through deployment and continuous iteration, defining best practices.
- Partner with large enterprises and startups to understand business challenges and implement scalable AI agents.
- Build the future of Sierra's platform by surfacing unmet needs, prototyping tools and features, and collaborating with research, product, and platform teams.
Qualifications
- Experience building and scaling end-to-end production systems.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills in fast-changing, ambiguous environments.
- Builder and tinkerer's mindset with high agency to ship.
- Comfort working directly with customers to understand needs and solve real-world problems.
- Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Genuine interest in Financial Services; insurance tech, institutional experience, or familiarity with security and compliance (PII handling, coverage advice) is a strong plus.
