About the role

Strategist responsible for steering the agent development lifecycle for Sierra’s public sector customers, from pilot to production, and shaping public sector strategy and roadmaps.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Agent Development Life Cycle. Take agents from initial scope through conversation design, tooling, evaluation, launch, and continuous iteration in production.
  • Be a trusted strategic advisor to public sector leaders. Define success, prioritize opportunities, and shape an AI strategy grounded in mission impact.
  • Partner with working teams day to day. Run sessions with program, operations, technology, security, legal, and procurement stakeholders; resolve issues to keep deployments moving toward launch.
  • Identify new ways to expand our impact. Develop roadmaps for new use cases, including proactive outreach, multilingual access, and multi-step journeys.
  • Directly shape the product and our public sector strategy. Surface unmet needs, prototype approaches, and influence Sierra's roadmap and market strategy.

Qualifications

  • Ownership and delivery. A track record of leading multiple complex, high-visibility initiatives and driving cross-functional teams from ambiguity to measurable outcomes.
  • Technical aptitude. Comfort engaging with API docs, data models, system architecture, and security tradeoffs in design discussions.
  • Commitment to public service. Passion for public sector work and improving outcomes for people and communities.
  • Communication. Clear, direct, and persuasive communication across executive, operational, policy, and technical audiences.
  • Strategic problem-solving in ambiguity. Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills to break down complex problems and adapt to changing conditions.
