Responsibilities

  • Set technical direction, write code, and be the go-to person for hard problems on a small, high-caliber team (2–5 engineers and a PM).
  • Spend ~75% of time in code and ~25% consulting with clients (often CTOs) to understand problems, walk through tradeoffs, and ensure solutions meet client needs.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of engineering experience, with end-to-end shipping of multiple products and production-ready code across disciplines.
  • Interest in applying software engineering fundamentals to AI systems and balancing frontier model capabilities with sound system design.
  • Comfort talking with senior technical stakeholders and navigating conversations.
  • High ownership mindset with proactive problem solving and strategic thinking.
  • Low ego, high integrity, willingness to help others and ask for help.
