About the role

Design Ops role combining design operations, tooling, automation and AI to help the Design & Research community at Alan work faster while maintaining quality. Builder role enabling community through AI, rituals and tooling.

Responsibilities

  • Explore: Test new AI tools and automations, find the ones that really save time or improve quality, and share the best with the community. Work with our internal AI tooling teams to bring what’s cutting edge to design and research.
  • Build: Create skills, agents and automated checks that make design and research work more efficient, reliable and of higher quality.
  • Run the tooling: Maintain and upgrade the tools the community relies on, and be our point of contact with Alan’s platform and agentic teams.
  • Improve how we work: Bring in better practices and rituals, push our existing rituals to the next level and help us show what we learn and achieve, inside and outside Alan.
  • Own your roadmap: Identify opportunities, prioritize solutions, set clear goals, track adoption and quality, and adjust as you go.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience automating work. Replaced repetitive tasks with automations, internal tools or AI workflows (no-code, low-code or AI tools).
  • Familiarity with AI tools. Built or tested skills, agents or automations.
  • Comfort working with engineers. Ability to build things yourself and know when production-grade work is needed.
  • Experience supporting a team or community (onboarding, rituals, events or internal communications).
  • Strong English communication; French is a plus.
